Hi, my name is Tiffany Smail. I am currently a junior at Wausau East High School. When I graduate, I plan to become a veterinarian. Since I was young, I have always loved animals. My parents, Karrie and Jeff Smail, would rarely find me without an animal close by. My love for animals has encouraged me to pursue everything to do with them. One of the animals I was drawn to the most was horses. I began showing through 4H in 3rd grade. I started out showing pigs at the Wisconsin Valley Fair, but quickly realized I preferred showing horses. Through competing at the fair, I have been able to go to West Allis, WI to compete in State 4H Expo several times. Also, I have competed in WIHA (Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Association). I am currently in FFA and am a member of the horse judging team. This year we made it to the state competition. One of my favorite sports is volleyball. I play through my school and continue to play on club teams during the off season. In my free time, besides riding horses, I like to go snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, and being outside. I am looking forward to running for this year’s Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo Queen.
Hi, my name is Shyana Zettler-Finck. I am currently a senior at NTC Alternative High School. When I graduate I plan to continue to do something with horses. I would like to move to Ohio to work at a Thoroughbred farm training and breeding horses.
I grew up on a dairy/beef farm or as others would like to call it a ‘mini zoo’. I show both beef and dairy at the Athens Fair and Lincoln County Fair. Although I show cattle, I prefer to do things with horses. My mom always said I was riding horse before I could walk. I have four horses, two Thoroughbreds (Bright Flash and Zelda) an Arabian (Dinah) and a mustang (Dorkis). I started barrel racing and training horses when I was twelve. I have been racing since I was fifteen. I also like to go to tractor pulls, hunt and fish. I’m a member of the Athens FFA, NTPA/WTPA (tractor pulling), and Merrill Ice Drags.
I live by the quote “go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you’ve wanted” by Henry David Thoreau. The reason I live by this is because only you can make sure your dreams happen and only you can live the life you want, no one else can do it for you.
Hi! My name is Emma Moodie. I am eighteen years old and currently a senior at Moodie Home School. After I graduate, I plan on taking a year off from school to shadow a variety of jobs, with my main focus being on children. I have always loved being a huge part of the rodeo, ever since I can remember. I have grown up with horses and they have been a huge part of my life. I was riding before I could even walk. I enjoy trail riding and am currently a member of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. Outside of the horse world, I am working as a full-time nanny for a number of different families. In my free time, I enjoy running, kayaking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, hunting and just about anything else outside.
Being the next Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo Queen would fulfill my lifelong dream of being that young lady I used to look up to. I look forward to inspiring others to never give up on their dreams and to pursue their passions.
